If they were more attractive?
I think a big factor in electric cars not selling is that they look super ugly.
Just look at the Nissan Leaf!
Electric cars aren't too bad and they some pretty good benefits. I honestly wouldn't mind having an electric car if it actually decent.
And I'm sure people wouldn't mind having a Tesla Roadster but then again not everyone has $80k to drop on a car. The expensiveness of the car pretty much cancels out the benefit of not paying for gas.
I mean is it so hard to make an attractive looking car, that's economical, and cheap?!
What do you think flood? Would you buy an electric car if it was more attractive? Discuss.

The Tesla Model S is a pretty sexy machine. But I think those manufacturers know what they're doing. Electric vehicles are largely a niche market, and people who actually want them also want people to know they have them. Et viola, Nissan Leaf. I guess that's slowly changing, with the Fusion Energi for example. But I think the main thing holding back electric cars is price. The Model S starts at $60k, and it only has the dinky 60kWh battery (230 miles). And recharge stations are few and far between, though you can plug it in overnight at home.
