When I was about 9, I wanted to watch Harry Potter but my grandmother wouldn't let me, when I asked her why she said that it was because it had talking snakes in it which meant it was honoring the devil. Unfortunately for my grandmother my young mind interpreted this as saying "You have to choose between religion and snakes." As a looked at a framed picture of Jesus later that day, I suddenly thought to myself; 'Do you know what's cooler than some dead guy? Snakes.'
So what was your first revelation? When did you first think "Hey, I'm a(n) ______."

I was raised Catholic. When I was a teen, I thought about my faith a lot, and decided to stay with it. Figured there was something more to life, and my faith offered an answer. So yeah, I believe in a Jewish carpenter zombie. Deal. @OP: Seriously, you weren't allowed to watch Harry Potter? It was one of our novel studies in Grade 6, and I was in Catholic school.
