Honest question, If I was one I'd find great joy in banning the holy shit out of people.

What Recon said.

I've never gotten any "joy" out of banning anyone. It's a duty that I was asked to perform, that I agreed to commit to, and that when I did it, it was out of a sense of "keeping my promise" and serving this community and our hosts (both of which I have immense respect for). We still have a role to play that includes (or results in) the banning of members who have broken their membership agreement. But in the old or the new, I've always felt more disappointed than glad whenever I've banned someone. Disappointed in the fact that the member didn't/couldn't/wouldn't see that there was a "better way" to interact with others. Disappointed that we (the community, the ninja, our hosts) weren't able to sufficiently demonstrate that "better way" so that the offending member saw it as a logical and rewarding path.

HAHAHAHAHA! SUCK IT TU! *Rubs butt in front of TU's face* YOU CAN'T TOUCH ME NOW! I KNOW HOW TO SKIRT THE LINE!

I don't miss it one bit. Of course I stopped a long time ago but with the new tools I assume it must be a better gig than what it used to.
-
They used to carpet ban people... But then they decided to let users flame each other to death.
-
Wat I was banned last week.
-
I wouldn't be happy if I had to banish people daily from something they love.
-
I always took a bit longer to send the ban on through than the other mods, I liked to enjoy the moment a little each time.
-
No, they don't. They're glad to get down and dirty at our level with us and have some fun with us in the porn threads.
-
I kinda miss seeing them ban troublemakers and lock threads.....but it is also somewhat fun to see people fight each other on here......
-
We can still ban. I miss thread lock.

Edited by Duardo: 5/5/2013 4:14:38 PMI'm much more happy hiding what I want and having others do the same :)
-
I know evilcam enjoyed banning people, not sure about the others.

When were their bans ever effective? They're meaningless.
