Go to any big YouTube video, and you will see that YouTube has added all the dislikes to the number of likes.
It's all about being positive now!
It's a Brave New World

I still have mine o.O Proof: went to video baby 853,720,385 1,626,052-likes 3,441,159-dislikes
-
I'm watching a video right now that has 82 likes and 5 dislikes. It's probably just some technical issue(s).
-
Edited by OptimusPrime 15: 5/2/2013 10:11:02 PMThey should have just taken Dislikes out. Not added them.. oh well. The point of dislikes was to see if a video was worth your time. If it had a ton of dislikes I would just exit and go watch something else. Now I HAVE to see if it's good and waste my time? Wonderful..
-
I just checked my channel, and you are telling the truth.
-
This is at least the death of stupid dislike jokes.
-
Apparently the dislikes have been added to the likes as well, sounds like someone tripped over a wire.
-
Disliked OP just for the sake of it.

Started a new topic: Facebook: like or dislike?(5 Replies))

How are we suppose to know when it's a troll/shitty video?
-
Now people will be recieving more negative comments on their videos instead of a simple dislike.
-
I never really understood dislikes, anyway. If you don't like a video, just hit the "back" button...
-
Its probably more of a technical glitch...

This world of political correctness annoys me. "We can't hurt anyone's feelings!" What a load of crap.

Edited by DarkSpyda04: 5/2/2013 7:16:51 PMAnd the bar lowers deeper...

Still there on the iPad app. ;)
-
Oh for crisps sake, facebook should get dislikes, so i dont have to leave subtle insults to all the thug wannabes and juggalos.
-
... ... ... ... ... =/
-
Well, fuck people's opinion if they liked the video or not because now, you're forced to like it. Am I right? -_- They should just bring the star rating system back, that was actually good.
-
What does it even matter anyway? Likes and dislikes are both stupid. In fact they should just remove them altogether along with the comments. I've never seen any good or constructive comments other than someone answering someone's "Hey, what's that song?" question. YouTube has one of the shittiest communities on the Internet.
-
I don't see why they'd do this. Seeing the number of dislikes on a video is the perfect way to instantly see if it's worth watching before it finishes buffering. Now how am I going to avoid crappy videos which the thumbnail like/dislike addon highlights?!
-
Looks more like a glitch than a real thing. The dislike button is still there. If they were really getting rid of the dislikes, they would have removed the button and the bar itself too.
-
Sounds like the kind of thing they'd do on Waypoint.

I agree with all of you who are upset. It doesn't make sense to me, because Facebook has a reason for the Like button. If you don't like a post, you just move on, or you comment and tell that girl no one cares she got back with her boyfriend. But on YouTube, the Dislike button serves a purpose. We can tell within a second if a video sucks, because it's totally red and all dislikes. And I'm really going to miss all the clever dislike comments.... --The dislike bar looks like a lightsaber --The dislike bar is the size of Justin Beiber's pee pee --The like bar looks like a rolled up joint! (look up Bob Marley videos) If you guys are really curious why YouTube has done this, I can tell you why. I study social media patterns, and right now, it's obvious that all Google cares about is engagement. YouTube doesn't care about views. They care about the videos that keep people on their website, and they care about videos which make people return to the website. So what YouTube is pushing for now is videos that get people to comment, subscribe, like, and yes even comment. They didn't "delete" the comments, they just added them to the Likes. It's all about engagement people

They come back after 15 seconds on the page.
