Spaceship2 Achieves First Successful Feathered Flight
This maneuvering allows for extremely efficient aerobraking with a wide range of consequences, larger craft and safer landings being some of those.
A little information about the maneuver: The feathering allows for the drag to the aft of the center of mass to be reduced significantly, this allowed the craft to maintain a larger surface of area of drag.
