Why do i need to learn this?
Proofs: prove it's a triangle
me: what does this have to do with anything
logic: is this true or false?
me: this is just common sense! WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO TEACH 10th GRADERS COMMON SENSE?!?!
i just feel like... so m any things that i learn in highschool... wont even matter when i try to get a job...

Geometry proofs are pivotal to understanding more difficult mathematical principles.

Because it'll help you on your next test.

Moreover on the logic thing, assuming you're doing the kind of Modal Logic I have experience in then you'll eventually get to things that aren't exactly common sense that you can get at first glance, for example: Prove that P → (Q → R) therefore (P → Q) → (P → R)

You don't need to know any of this. Drop out now and pursue your dream of becoming a famous supermodel.

If you have to ask why, then they aren't doing a very good job of teaching it to you. By the way, High School isn't supposed to prepare you for the work force anymore. Its to prepare you for college. Back in the day high school was supposed to prepare you for being a responsible adult, capable of holding down most jobs. That, sadly, is not the case anymore. A Bachelors is the new diploma, and the point of High School is to get you to a university that can get you that diploma.

Why do you need to learn this? Why wouldn't you want to learn something new?

It's applied thinking. Your brain is like any other muscle, if you use it frequently and push it hard, it'll get better. Geometric proofs require you to think logically, and the more you do it, the better you'll get.

WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO TEACH 10th GRADERS COMMON SENSE?!?!
A lot of basic logic seems like common sense but when you get to proper complex stuff the entry level stuff that you go over at early stages is a good grounding.
i just feel like... so m any things that i learn in highschool... wont even matter when i try to get a job... Proofing a triangle and knowing common sense have a lot to do with women, specifically there is no point in trying to understand, and that it will help to get the poon.

You'll understand when you graduate.

The primary purpose of public education is (or at least should be) to teach students how to think. We mix that in with science, math, etc to fulfill a secondary purpose, which is to equip students with the knowledge needed to do jobs.

Thats not making a lick' of sense...
