I watched this series a while ago and probably posted about it. But i want to have a discussion about the mind blowing, quite dark, and creative web series know as Salad Fingers.
Introduction:
Salad fingers is a tall, green, mentally unstable humanoid figure living in what appears to be a post apocalyptic world. He encounters many problems and seems to have no living things around him, at first. He tends to make friends, instead, with inadament objects such as Hubert Cumberdale, one of 3 sock puppets. His adventures include his obsession with rusty spoons, finding his brother from the "Great War," and even self inflicted pain all accompanied by a chorus of guitar samples played backwards and at slow speed. Salad Fingers does not seem to have a background, or if he does, it is very limited. His presence is unknown and almost un noticed. He has no sense of life and seems to care less if another character's life is at risk.
So there we have it, one of the only youtube series i have seen that has not only depressed me, but opened some doors of imagination. Let us discuss what is Salad Fingers. Shoot.

My theory: The 'Great war' wasn't necessarily World War I, but was a huge war that left everything to a post-apocalyptic state. SF's family died and this traumatised him until he is what he is now. The trauma left SF so confused that he didn't know whether he was male or female.
Can't remember the rest of the theory, but that's the important points.
David Firth is a genius.

It's one of the most subtly disturbing things I've watched. The music only adds to it.
