Lets just say that Bungie decided to give players the option to alternate between separate control schemes by using the four directions on the D-pad. If they chose to do this, what would you like to see as the differentiation between the schemes?
Also, what buttons would you like to see be affected? ie: LT, RT, LB, RB

CUSTOM BUTTON MAPPING! The Answer to so many differing gamers and their styles.

My controller layout: RT-Fire Primary/Raise Weapon LT-Fire Secondary/Grenades RB-Reload LB-Sprint A/X-Jump B/O-Melee X/⁈-Interact/Equipment Y/Δ-Switch Weapons RS-Binoculars/Scope LS-Crouch Start-Menu/Inventory Select-View Party Up-Flashlight Down-Lower Weapon Right-Cycle Grenades Left-Blank I am very particular to this layout and have no desire to change it at whimsy.

I hate the D-pad I prefer the one on the Playstation controller because the individual buttons are seperate from one another rather than on the same pad so that you don't accidently press left when you meant to press down.
-
my ideal controller layout: RT - Fire LT - ADS RB - Grenade LB - Ability A - Jump B - Crouch Y - Swap Primary and Secondary Weapons (HOLD) - Swap to sidearm X - Reload/Interact RS - Melee (HOLD) - ASSASSINATE >:D LS - Sprint Back - Inventory Start - Menu Up - Fire Mode Down - Lower Weapon Left - Grenade Right - Equipment Simple :P

Emotes.

Edited by iGraviton: 4/24/2013 11:02:04 PMI still don't understand why no console game gives us the option to set up our controller schemes ourselves, rather than use pre-set ones. EDIT: How I'd set-up my controller: X- Jump O - Crouch/Prone ⃞-Interact/Reload ∆ - Swap Weapon R1 - Fire R2 - Grenade L1 - Aim Down L2 - Equipment RS - Melee LS - Sprint D-Up - Power 1 D-Left - Power 2 D-Right - Power 3 D-Down - Power 4 This is assuming the D-Pad is for our characters powers and abilities, of course.

I would use it for silent signals and such.
-
I want a colorless and letterless controller palette. Then, then I would be happy, but equipment usage is fine for now.
-
if Bungie chose to go for this strategy they could seriously expand the potential of the controller interface

Ow, you have two on there I can decide between... The firing mode and the equipment usage...
