do you do it?
would you say full metal is good?
electric vs gas?
best airsoft AKM maker? best airsoft shotgun maker?
definitely going for realism.
best retailer?
-
Airsoft? You mean paintball for little girls?
-
Yes HELL YES Gas all the way, propane is the best Shotgun? Idk why you would want an airsoft shot gun other than looks. Go assault rifle and pistol yes KWA is my favorite, expensive but worth it. I have the GBB PTP m9 and it is my favorite gun ever.
-
who makes the best airsoft shotgun?
-
AEGs > Gas Rifle Electric Pistol < Gas pistol AirsoftMegastore is inexpensive, and has a good return policy. They also sell great BBs for cheap (i.e. goldenball) Yes, I play.
-
I prefer paintball. Hurts less, and you can tell when someone gets hit.
-
Yep. Sure. Electric. I don't know.
-
Yup It means nothing, most polymer receivers aren't going to crack, so it's only a realism thing. Of course, almost any good gun is going to have metal anywhere the real thing would have metal. Gas is a gimmick. G&G is a nice cheap brand.
-
What's the point of full metal? It makes your gun heavier? I don't see that as an advantage.

Edited by tntbabin: 4/24/2013 4:04:52 AMYes Metal is usually more durable but so long as the plastic/polymer is high quality, it should be durable enough to last a long time, even with intense use. I prefer metal personally. Depends, pistol or rifle? Pistol, gas all the way. Rifle, comes down to preference. gas is cooler and easier to fix if broken but is usually quite a bit more expensive than electric. Electric is cheaper, can use highcap mags(if you don't care about realistic combat), and you don't have to constantly buy gas. Dunno, never really looked into AKs, but if you can find one made by KWA(don't think they make one but you could check), it'll be a quality piece, everything I've seen from them is.

My friends and I bought 7 MP5s online along with like 10,000 rounds for $100 then went out into a field and shot at each other for hours. Eventually a cop came to check it out because someone called in that there were people shooting each other. He just took one look at us and said have a good day. That's the extent of my airsofting. Since we never did it again. That was like 5 years ago.

Edited by Bulldozer: 4/24/2013 3:50:27 AMairsoft is fuking gay When i was in the 10th grade me and friends played war in the abandoned cul-de-sac with fcking gas pellet pistols and 1000fps pellet rifles. You just wear high grade paintball helmets and rubber body armor. Yes they go through but only barely. The force of getting shot by a 1000fps .22 pellet knocks you back and hurts stupid badly though

Not really, my friends and I have huge airsoft wars in our yards like twice a year.

Edited by DarkSpyda04: 4/24/2013 3:34:50 AMI tried it out on two occasions. One was around the city; two rounds in two seperate locations at night whilst out with friends. The other was a good number of rounds in an indoors arena that we had to pay to enter. Both have their stories. The first time for instance I was armed with a P90 and found myself ducking down in tall grass while lasers zoomed around searching for me. I knew they'd find me eventually so I got up and went out Rambo style. Unlike Rambo however I failed miserably. In the arena, one guy had a rocket launcher, one guy had a ghille suit, and another's got nightvision goggles. For the last round they turn off the lights and while I don't got any fancy nightvision goggles, my eyes dialate to the darkness. I head for the bunker in the center of the map and camp there the whole match, providing cover-fire for my team and then when the opposing team runs out of lives, we head in like a swat team to finish them off; I didn't get shot once that round. Of course I found that it's scary as hell because if you're shot, you get eliminated and you know damn well that if you pop your head out for just a second, it's game over. Would I do it again? Heck yes!

anyone try a red jacket(sons of guns) airsoft gun?
-
Yes If you can take care of it yes Just regular games i use AEG's for shits and giggles for MILSIM GBB Use chart
-
i airsoft, full metal is the way to go, i have an M4 which came with a plastic body and i'm currently in the tedious process of replacing the body with a full metal one after the threading on the upper reciever got stripped by the delta ring for the RIS that i have on it. and IMO electric is the way to go for assaut rifles, SMG's are good either way and i recommend gas pistols

When I played airsoft our guns were plastic, and they were clear with orange tips on the barrels. You kids and your newfangled airsoft don't know about the good old days.

I have a single Airsoft gun. It's a single shot M-16A1. It's silly and I enjoy it.
