Tweets like that, I hope, become more common place. Are people disrespecting of the police? Despite how much they do for us? All the work the police did for this Boston bombing was insane.

I dislike the idea that anyone can become a police officer, with little to no training. In Ancient Rome, the town guard was trained for years before being able to even put on a uniform. This lack of training in modern-day police causes apathy and corruption.

People will say, "-blam!- the police," but the second they need help, they will call them.

Definitely. People seem to see the police as bullies and oppressors, rather than protectors. While there are police who do fit that stereotype, most are just people doing their jobs, and risking their lives.
