I have to admit, this is the only part of this situation I find really spooky. Yeah, I can totally understand the desire to grab this guy as soon as possible, and you can be sure people are going to be pissed if the town is locked down for another day or two... but on the face of it, we're probably going to look back at this and say, "Oh... we have laws against this, don't we." I look forward to any court decisions on this. EDIT: Furthermore, it's one thing if they suddenly knock on my door in the middle of the night to "make sure you don't have any communist materials" or something like that. Random searches and seizures of people's homes, definitely not cool. But if they come to my place saying they're looking for this particular guy who's been on all the news stations all day and they'll be in and out in less than half an hour and won't come back, I guess I'm ok with that.
