You do realize they didn't eat you food or search your underwear drawer or anything, they opened your doors and went away. All of you "4th amendment means no cops in my house ever unless warrant." Morons obviously have something to hide. I have stuff in my house to hide, not from the police, nothing illegal to possess, but embarrasing if my friends knew.

Edited by BADMAGIK: 4/20/2013 8:34:18 PMYou're an idiot. The Fourth Amendment. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Probable cause and reasonable moron! There was an armed and extremely dangerous person roaming that town. A terrorist for Christ's sake! and they have every right to search every damn house they need to to find him.

Oh look, you found a picture of a house raid. Congratulations. I mean you totally know everything about that situation so you are completely right about everything that you say.

Edited by Ichthyosaur: 4/19/2013 9:55:19 PMGoddamnit Lay down your -blam!-ing rights for a second The police have Boston locked down, looking for a bomber on the run Think they've got time for idiots standing in the doorway saying 'hurr durr muh rights?" No, because for all they know they could be hiding the -blam!-er So let them barge in, search, barge out, and for just two -blam!-ing seconds, TO -blam!- WITH YOUR RIGHTS
-
I wouldn't let them inside, if they come in by force or without your consent that is ILLEGAL. I would tell them get a search warrant and slam the door.
-
goddamn it sit down and shut up. America is not becoming a -blam!-ing police state. I am so tired of you ass hats constantly making posts about this. Go back to listening to Alex Jones and hiding under the covers, waiting for Obama to come and throw you in your FEMA death camp. Idiots.
-
The 4th Amendment protects against "unreasonable" searches and seizures. In this case, it's fairly reasonable for the police to quickly walk through houses looking for people. If they were searching through drawers or cabinets, it would be unreasonable.

Go back to 9gag homo.

So you're not okay with the Federal Government going on a manhunt? What's wrong with letting them go into your house for 2 seconds and look around and then just leave? If you have nothing to hide then there's nothing to worry about. You do NOT interfere with a Federal investigation. If they tell you they need to search your house you stand the hell aside and let them in. They aren't going to wreck it. The most they do is leave dirt on the floor but they move fast and then leave. Calm down. Your rights are not being violated.

Edited by Ushan: 4/20/2013 6:47:05 AMI just see a picture of soldiers walking around a house. Perhaps you should offer some background on its importance, maybe a link or two.

They'd have to murder me before entering my home, I'd only hop I could get a few of the thugs first.

Edited by Bernard: 4/19/2013 10:29:35 PMI guess if people want to start making assumptions that this is a police state now I can make the assumption that everyone whining about it doesn't care if he gets caught or not. Is that fair?
-
Edited by LOLdragon89: 4/19/2013 10:20:42 PMI have to admit, this is the only part of this situation I find really spooky. Yeah, I can totally understand the desire to grab this guy as soon as possible, and you can be sure people are going to be pissed if the town is locked down for another day or two... but on the face of it, we're probably going to look back at this and say, "Oh... we have laws against this, don't we." I look forward to any court decisions on this. EDIT: Furthermore, it's one thing if they suddenly knock on my door in the middle of the night to "make sure you don't have any communist materials" or something like that. Random searches and seizures of people's homes, definitely not cool. But if they come to my place saying they're looking for this particular guy who's been on all the news stations all day and they'll be in and out in less than half an hour and won't come back, I guess I'm ok with that.
