A while ago, maybe two summers ago, I stepped on a splinter in my house, and tried to remove it with a needle, but, it went in pretty deep, and didn't come out, so I left it alone. Ever since then, there's a noticeable pain on my big toe, almost like a blister, and the skin around it feels dry and dead, and the area around the splinter is sort of hollowed in. I think the splinter might still be in there because when I squeeze the surrounding area, there is a brown dot that shows up, but, it's still deep inside.
I tried removing it again today, using a needle, which only resulted in blood, and no progress.
Should I just leave it? Or should I try and remove it again? It's very annoying to have.

Edited by Raptor: 4/19/2013 8:54:29 PMIt probably wont work at that stage since its been in so long...but a very warm bath may help coax it out. Then you can move in for the kill with tweezers if it pokes out a bit.
