This is why universal healthcare through taxes should be brought in.
Before you start the UK does it like this.
Taxes are split by the government so everybody can get healthcare from the NHS.
If you don't want the NHS care you can still pay for your own Private healthcare like our systems like BUPA.
The NHS can send it's patients to private hospitals for treatment and will foot the bill for the patients, so you get private healthcare at a much lower cost.
Private hospitals depend heavily on NHS hospitals when it comes to large surgeries since they use their resources.
Everybody pays less unless your private which could be less than it is now due to the public system helping to fund the private, the government pays less into the system unlike Medicad which people claim is a government sink hole.
Everybody in the country gets the same healthcare no matter your bank balance and you have 100% guarantee you will not be bankrupt for going to see the doctor.
You are the richest country in the world, if everybody else can pull it off then you lot can to. It would save the people money, it will save the government money and you have the choice of the kind of healthcare you want.
It's a win win for everybody except the fat cats in the insurance companies living the high life off people's misfortune.
Something I mentioned in another thread and just wondering what people think of this, it's based on the UK healthcare system/s if any Brits see something I missed or got wrong let me know.

It sounds fine, but I doubt it would be feasible to pass it as a law.
