It's -blam!-ing empty. Nobody out on the streets.
The streets are empty in Boston, which is in the middle of a manhunt. This is what the roads look like in a city on lockdown.
There are parts of the city where men with assault rifles are going door to door, but the streets are cleared everywhere. "It's a police state. Everything is shut down," one resident told the Baltimore Sun. Another resident expressed a feeling of purpose, saying "everyone is following the rules, hoping the suspect is caught soon."
Some think the city looks like the set of a zombie movie, others think it seems ready for a car chase.
People from all over Boston are pouring out pictures onto Twitter and Instagram.
Is this the future? For years conspiracy theorists have said this is the path we'll take to martial law. Were they right?
It seems the terrorists have won. People are scared shitless.

shitpost is shitpost. It's been like this for less than 12 hours in one city. Clearly that means the US has gone full on police state. "It seems the terrorists have won." Shittier post is even shittier. Would the terrorists be losing if all the people were in the streets getting in the way? I don't even.

Oh no, police telling people to remain inside while they hunt down a guy who bombed the Boston marathon and is armed and dangerous and could potentially have more bombs around. How terrible.
-
so the entirety of the city of Boston looks like that? do we know the guy's definitely still in Boston? or is this whole thing for a single guy who may not even be there anymore?

Edited by Raptor: 4/19/2013 5:52:03 PMHow is this a path to a police state? Get a grip guys, New York was just like this on 9/11 to. If it starts happening everywhere around the country then yeah start worrying, but for right now its for the safety of law enforcement/military personnel and civilians. Not to mention it will make finding explosives (Which they have found another one today) and obviously traps this SOB.

I thought they were just asked to stay indoors but they didn't have to?
-
Edited by God: 4/19/2013 6:01:37 PMWe'll there's heavily armed guy with an arsenal of explosive weapons running around showing intention to indiscriminately kill civilians. If that's not a reason to stay indoors then what is?

Edited by Wyldfyre: 4/19/2013 5:51:21 PMDamn... Really wish I could take my car to those roads right now.
