Many have said it is a pointless formality that does nothing but provide legal recognition as a couple. Many say that two people should be able to love each other without the commitment of marriage and the complications that come with it. Others defend it on the defense that it is a timeless tradition and it declares two people's love for each other by engaging them in a lifetime commitment to be loyal to each other. There are many defenses for both sides. What is your opinion, flood?
