"Halo's multiplayer isn't unique and very similar to CoD"
So someone on this forum said this (not verbatim). What would you say to him/her?
EDIT: The person I was talking about clarified that he meant Halo 4 and that he quickly edited his post so that it says "Battlefield" instead of "CoD" because he realized that vehicles are quite important in Halo.

Depends on what you look at. The gameplay is nothing like battlefield and cod but some of the progression systems are.

At its core, Halo 4 plays like Halo. But it's got a lot of CoD gimmicks (like the progression system, custom loadouts and so on) that smother it with generic overtones.

Anything before Halo 4 I would disagree with. Halo 4 now? Yes I would agree. 343i has taken steps toward the Call of Duty formula.

It's not very similar to COD. It's just taken steps towards it, but it still remains sort of a Halo game, although nothing like what we've come to know and love.

Marathon was the first FPS to [b]EVER[/b] have vertical aiming. So, you know, unless the FPS you play doesn't have "up" and "down" they totally copied off of Bungie. Just saying.

Do the weapons have memorable names that aren't a configuration of initials and numbers? Yes. Is there a scifi theme? Yes. Only four basic yet fun and enjoyable ways in which Halo is better. There are many more.

It seemed that he was talking about Halo in general because the thread was about Halo in general and no one ever mentioned Halo 4.

If he's talking about Halo 4 then yes. Reach, I can see where he's coming from. Anything before that is just plain wrong.
