Edit: Just to be clear I don't think it should be removed, just improved.
I rarely if ever use the like button for a couple of reasons.
The first being that because of the new filter in the forums "Liked" it seems that the webteam is trying to make the Like feature the new (I'm sure you're all aware of my opinions about saved threads) Saved threads feature. Therefore I use it as I would the old Saved threads feature and only like things that I want to save for use or reference later, or that I find particularly hilarious, and that rarely happens.
EDIT: It is meant as a replacement for Saved Threads.
The second reason being the old argument from before Bungie.next dropped that came up whenever a "Make a Like feature" thread appeared in the Community forum, that the Like button really does nothing. Obviously I'm excluding its use as a horrible replacement for Saved threads.
There is no counter in each thread marking how many times or by whom the thread has been liked, there is no record in the thread creators profile or anywhere else for how many times a thread or post of his has been liked. Because of this all the Like button does is send a notification to the Thread/Post creator which after a couple of seconds of "Oh well isn't that nice" is deleted and completely forgotten about.
It also adds nothing to the conversation of the thread. You might say "But Max that's the point if you have nothing to add and simply agree you can just click like instead of QFT or something like that." While that is a good goal for the Like feature to have like I said before if the goal is to remove all of the "QFT" posts then there should be some sort of counter or symbol for the amount of likes someone has gotten for a thread or post.
So yeah I think the Like feature is useless in it's current state and some changes need to be made to it. I would also prefer to have the old way of Saving threads back.

It needs work. As it stands, I do not oppose the feature itself, but I would rather have saved threads return and maybe some better indicator of 'likes' than having a blue symbol by a 'liked' thread or an empty shield next to a disliked thread.
