So does it really matter if a game has been ported from one system to another? Like what does it change if anything?

If it's a good port there's no big difference.

When you get games ported directly from console to PC, with no graphical improvement, it makes a big difference. Dead space 3 for example. Still using Directx9 technology while every other pc game is using DX11 nowadays.

Depends of who does it ... and which you played first. Halo CE (to me) was way better on the PC than the xbox. Even taking out the multiplayer aspect, it just felt better. But that could be based on just the fact I played it on the PC first.
