Yep, its time for this again and I mean the game as a whole, not the ending
Personally I think its ok, it has some good moments if you read between the plot holes
-
The game was AWESOME just the ending kinda sucked. Everything else like combat, story, companions, romances, voice acting. Was the best in the series.
-
Wait what plot holes?
-
No. This is my opinion. As first, I really hated the endings, but I came to actually enjoy the control ending.
I really like the irony of Shepard controlling the reapers.
-
I enjoyed the game, especially the multiplayer.
-
I loved it. Easily one of my favorite games. My opinion however does not determine the quality of the game.
-
Nowhere near as good as Mass Effect 1, but still a good game overall. Awful ending though.
-
Horrible game, not just because of the ending.
-
I liked it. Good game throughout the series. Some RPG elements lost in ME2. ME3 brought them back. Multiplayer was good but probably put in because of people "asking" for it, but still good. Ending was fine, people just felt "betrayed" because they weren't given the ending they "deserved". And then the dumb Reclaimers and that stupid IT theory...
-
I've never been so stunned by how bad an ending was. Then Bioware making up paid DLC to try and patch up the ending was just another -blam!- you to players. What a moment though. In just a few minutes the entire legacy of the Mass Effect IP was rewritten and Bioware went from being a developer that had made missteps in recent years to being a universally loathed brand no one will take seriously.
-
Pretty much 99% of the game is perfect especially after playing the first two, the ending is lackluster... It's okay, not the ending we want, but the ending we deserve... The multiplayer is solid, but feels unnecessary.
-
It's a great game, I love it.
-
Good until the last 20 minutes. Waiting to press a button was the dumbest possible way to end the series.
-
Edited by Smarkdow: 7/7/2013 1:25:41 AMOn it's own, it's a decent game. As a Mass Effect game? It's horrible and by far the worst of the series. Even 2 with its awful filler plot was a better Mass Effect game.
-
It wasn't bad. But it wasn't spectacular either.
-
Combat was awesome Story was great Ending ehhhhh not so much Multiplayer is really fun
-
Yes, it's absolutely terrible with only a few redeeming qualities. Overall, the experience wasn't anywhere near as fulfilling and enjoyable as the previous games and the developers failed to deliver on the vast majority of what they promised because EA wanted the game rushed out of the door. And rushed it was.
-
The ending was a huge misstep but overall it's a decent game. The co op multiplayer is pretty fun if you get a decent group.
-
The game was absolutely amazing. I hate how people can trash it so much because of the ending (which really wasn't as bad as people think, especially with extended cut).
-
No the game was fine except for the GOD DAMN ENDING!!!!!!!
-
I only played the game after the diarrhea of fan rage and never experienced the original ending. Personally I found nothing appalling about the altered ending and the game was actually quite fun.
-
only issue i had that the credit revield that it just was some random story told by an old guy.
-
Very good game, the ending fell a bit flat. After 3 full games of drastic story choices I would have liked more than 3 final choices
-
I enjoyed the game but the ending was decent at best. 8/10
-
The game was a 10/10 game until the ending. Fantastic gameplay. Great story. Writing. Music. RPG elements weren't slashed. Great at tying in past decisions. 10/10. ... They killed that at the end. Does it make the game bad? No... but it certainly deserves nowhere near a 10/10 after that.

Edited by HurtfulTurkey: 7/6/2013 12:16:42 AMMass Effect 3 was a fantastic game. It was consistently exciting and rewarding, particularly for those importing a character from the previous games. However, it should have ended with Shep pressing the button and Anderson dying. Everything in the last 5 minutes ruined the story. The EC is a bigger slap in the face than the original, though.
-
Yeah, I think it's pretty bad. I don't know if it is horrible, but it is mediocre at best. The only things I liked about it were the music, Tuchanka and the Citadel DLC. I have a lot of criticisms for it. It's best forgotten.
