Got mine coming up in about 2/3 months. I'm pretty nervous and kinda paranoid to be honest, shouldn't be. But I over think things.
How about you?

Didn't go. No girls would go with me, my friends all had dates, and the Reach Beta just came out.

Nice stories here guys! But one question: When should you start thinking about and buying/renting a suit? Shopping for them is a nightmare! Oh that sounds girly...
-
I loved my prom It had good music and the people were great
-
Six hours of pictures, a ride in an ice cream truck, a dance with my mom, a dance with my date. It was aight. The better you like your grad class the better it'll be since you spend all day with them pretty much. Although prom in my town is different than a lot of others, or so I've heard.
-
Well I don't know how different your' proms' are to our 'balls (school ball, not balls)' but it's way more fun if you go with mates instead of a specific girl. That way you're not stuck with them the entire time and can hang out with others.

I went my junior year, but my senior year another guy asked a friend of mine before I could, and there wasn't really anybody else I wanted to go with. But the one year I went was kind of fun. Dinner was nice, I was with a lot of friends. The actual dance was lame. But I went to the RAP event (Right After Prom) both years, and that was awesome. Lots of food, lots of prizes for seniors, played a lot of poker, and I got hypnotized senior year.

It went well. After taking pictures, we (the group I went with) ate habachi/sushi. Afterwards we attended the dance. We were then supposed to go bowling, but three couples from our group left to attend a party. So instead my date and I went to another person's house to watch The Amazing Spiderman.

i dont think im going to prom when i get older
-
Mine is next week. I went to prom last year with a date but I'm going without one this year
-
Never went. Why would I want to be around assholes?
-
Prom of 98' was cool i guess.
-
>Me >prom which involves socialising and girls Pick one
-
I didn't go to my Prom. It was just another school event I couldn't care less about.
-
Both of mine sucked but my Senior prom sucked slightly less.
-
What can I tell you? Same crap as always, assholes swaggered in like they owned the place, oblivious to everyone else. Was pretty boring to be honest. Results day was funnier.

Teh girlfriend is still a sophomore, so we're going together next year.
-
I didn't attend either of them.
-
I've heard it, I just have no clue what a prom actually is? Someone explain?
-
Prom is lame. If you live in CA, Grad Night was lame and horrible too.
-
I don't get how prom is too expensive. I couldn't afford a tux so i just wore dress clothes i already had. It didnt matter, because most people didnt even wear their tuxes at the dance. I went with a group of friends, so i didnt have to pay for a date or anything. The only thing i needed was new shoes. So that was like $60, then $25 for the ticket and like $20 for two games of bowling afterwards and it was like $105 for me. This year, seeing as i dont need new shoes and we're hanging out at my house after instead of bowling, it'll cost me $25 to get in and whatever i pay for dinner if we go out. If you're a junior/senior in highschool you should probably have a job, and should have no problem affording it.

I went to 5 proms. 1 when I was a sophomore, 2 as a junior, and 2 as a senior. Loved every single one of them. But my senior prom was the best. Hanging with my boys and just having a good time. Was on Prom Court but unfortunately didnt win king :/. Overall it was a great experience and I would urge everyone here to go to both their junior and senior prom.
-
I went. Prom was meh because I went stag and the 2 idiots who I would have chilled with there didn't go. The pre-prom get together with other people, and the late night shenanigans with my brother and his friend were pretty kickass though.
-
Didn't go. Not because I didn't want to but because they don't exist in Spain. It's variation of it is just everyone going out to the clubs with the teachers. It was hella fun seeing teachers drunk and stuff.

Edited by ABotelho: 4/8/2013 9:59:18 PMProm itself was boring as hell. After-prom on the other hand was a blast. edit: Holy shit, did so many of you seriously not go?!
