Why do you have zero mutes?
I don't because I feel like it takes away from the experience of an interenet forum by blocking others opinions.

I haven't muted anyone, for pretty much the same reason as OP.

I've only muted one user and his alts due to non-stop PM harassment. Aside from that, I have no reason to mute anyone else. Unless they give me a reason.

I don't mute people who have different opinions, I mute trolls who are a complete waste of space, and don't even adhere to their own portrayed opinions, only vocalize them to evoke anger. There's no point in arguing with some who's opinion isn't even their legitimate position.

I used to until very recently. Muting a few shitposters makes my overall forum experience better.

I don't have anyone muted and I don't really have any reason to mute someone. If I don't like their threads I simply do not click on them, end of story. Same goes for simply skipping their posts.
