We always debate about gun control and the legality of certain types, but what about knives? Nobody ever talks about knife control (except the British). Why is it so hard to get a switchblade? Why is it illegal to carry one? Why can I open or conceal carry a handgun, but I can't walk around with a sword or large dagger?

Edited by Wyldfyre: 4/7/2013 4:31:32 PMI still don't understand how here in England, you can carry a large knife if you're a chef or a Stanley blade if you're in construction, and you're allowed to carry ANY knife as long as the blade is less than 3 inches, but you can't even buy, import, carry or own a balisong knife because "it's a quick-deploy weapon". As if having a folding (non-springloaded) knife is "quicker to deploy" than a kitchen knife or any other kind of one-piece knife/blade.
