Bungie is vehemently labeling their game as a "Shared World Shooter," not a MMO. However, they are willingly attempting to introduce aspects of other genres into the FPS category to create something all their own - genres such as RPG's and MMO's. But enough about things that we already know, let's delve into the speculation.
I've included the above link as an example of how we'll probably be able to own our own customized ships. What else, though, might we be able to own? In Halo, the vehicles that we drove were "ours" for a very limited time, and were either scavenged from enemy encampments or gifted by the UNSC. In any case, we never really owned them. Perhaps in Destiny, we can take home that Pike that we found in the middle of nowhere. Will we even have a home in Destiny? Perhaps a studio apartment somewhere in the City? If not, would we have some sort of a bank system with which to store items? Hell, could there be actual banks?
I could go on forever shooting ideas at the wall. Instead, I'll leave you to it. What do you want to see implemented into Destiny in terms of ownership? What do you think Bungie has already decided to include?

Edited by PoeticW: 4/7/2013 12:01:09 AMSince they said there will be trading and a currency(showing "space" gold which looked like energon) I think there will be some kind of banking system if there is not a physical bank in-game. For storage of merchandise, souvenirs, guns etc. I think you should have a room at The Tower or have a room near your side of the hangar to store such things. I hope you have your own room or living space at The Tower so that upon starting up the game you can quickly equip yourself, venture out into the city and then embark on your adventures.

when it comes to vehicles, I would love to have as many personal vehicles as possible. I have done a topic on having your own cruiser a while ago. BUT said cruiser would have some restrictions like having a certain number of people joining you to help run it and buy it. The perks of having a cruiser are endless, one of them being able to store all the vehicles you happen to run into, anything from fighters, Pikes, tanks, jeeps, and anything else you can imagine.

Edited by DEZARATH: 4/6/2013 11:45:07 PMI can imagine storage on your ship as well as something like a personal Hangar back at the City, my hope is our Hangars act like Forge World in Reach, you can leave it open so friends can jump in or if you need some time to arrange items you can goto a private mode. That's what I'm hoping for.
