So I was browsing the iterwebs, as usual, when I come upon this thread at 343.
Holy high hell, mother of god. I don't think I have ever seen a bigger complaint thread. They usually get locked before they can hit 3 pages, oh but not this one. It would appear that people are pissed at something, but I'm not sure what exactly.
What do you guys think about this whole "Handicapped" Halo mess?
Edit: What exactly did Recon change?

Edited by no weakness: 4/6/2013 7:40:46 AMWhat drives me absolutely crazy about this Halo 4 debacle is that 343 actually REMOVED quintessential aspects from the game that, in my opinion, made Halo, Halo. I've voiced my opinion numerous times about the path Bungie started to take Halo down with Reach, but never did I have to berate them for removing so many things from Halo. When a developer has a game with such pedigree as Halo does, with a blank check from their publisher, and almost unlimited resources to create the next game in such a storied franchise - how on Earth do you take the game BACKWARDS??! It's mind-boggling to me that they could -blam!- this up so badly. To me, it just speaks about the abilities of those in charge. Obviously the people "in the trenches" creating the game did a wonderful job. At face value, Halo 4 is an amazing game. But once you play it and delve into what constitutes its gameplay and content, you find a stripped down, broken, and altered "Halo" experience. It's just sad to see such a huge failure with something that should have been so damn easy to hit out of the park. Being a Halo fan from the very beginning and staying actively involved in the Halo community (especially when it comes to listening) I guarantee that I could have developed a better multiplayer experience for Halo 4. I'm confident to say that there are many others in this community that could have done the same. I had high hopes for 343, especially with Frankie in the mix, but it seems clear that those in charge are just completely deluded and honestly believe they are taking the Halo franchise forward, or they just don't know what the -blam!- they're doing. I'm leaning toward believing it's both those things.
