What are some games that you would say are overrated
Personally I would say that Super Metroid is overrated
-
GTA (all) - I find the gameplay very tedious and other games like Crackdown, Skyrim, Spiderman 2, and Saints Row 3 do the sandbox gameplay much better in my opinion. Even with cheats turned on, the gameplay is pretty mediocre, but it must have been a big deal when it first came out... though that still doesn't explain why GTA4 was still pretty dull. Battlefield 3 - the graphics are pretty meh, too much reliance on bloom and lens flair. And it still boggles my mind that they decided a team of 32 players should be divided up into 8 fireteams in their own separate bubbles... it really makes coordinating on your team a nightmare, unless you have a clan or an outfit using TeamSpeak. Team Fortress 2 - crazy steep learning curve and unintuitive gameplay mechanics. League of Legends - it can be great fun if you have hours and hours of free time to dedicate to a game, but if you have school work or a full time job and/or other fun games to play, it can be a bit of a grind. StarCraft - I've been a fan of this franchise for over a decade... and I still think the gameplay is very hard to access for casual gamers and it could do with many more gametypes in matchmaking other than melee melee melee. At the very least they need to clean up the Arcade section, but worst of all the community is uber-competitive and outrageously hot-headed and stubborn in their ways. It's a franchise that caters almost exclusively to competitive gamers, and if you're one of those then that's great, but the rest of us are left just gnawing on the bones of campaign, tired of getting our asses handed to us in matchmaking five times in a row.
