So i was intrigued about these threats for nuclear warfare against the US from North Korea. But will it eventually happen or is it like one of those comments like from a stereotypical school where 'I'm gonna beat you up and steal your lunch money.' kind of things.
That said, as a fellow Brit. I am concerned for the Americans.

There are new missle bases in Alaska...for promotional reasons of course...
-
>Implying North Korea is a threat
-
If its will they will be gone within a couple of hours
-
If they did NK spot on the map would just be a giant parking lot in future maps
-
Im sure america probably has some high tech anti nuclear bomb thing.
-
It won't. By then America will have finished building Liberty Prime. xD
-
NK, meet Trident.
-
Will happen as yes
-
The most that will happen will probably be a Cold War 2.0
-
Humbug
-
North Korea are a bunch of pussies. They won't attack America unless they want killed.
-
I can see a SK, US, UK, and Japan vs. NK if they do something stupid.
-
Yeah. I am pretty sure Kim Jong Un wants a whoopin.

BREAKING NEWS: AMERICA HAS NUKED NORTH KOREA!
-
Meh, nothing will happen. It's just them whining once again.
-
I got 20$ on the one with a 700+ billion dollar budget for their military and enough nukes to turn the entire world into a giant irradiated parking lot a few times over.

Edited by Diplomat: 4/3/2013 11:35:44 PMI think people are over-inflating the extent to which the North Korean government is as a threat to regional peace. The North Koreans have threatened to end the armistice before, and have cut off the hotline twice. The regime, while not the most rational bunch in the world, bases all of it's actions around one thing: maintaining the power of the regime. Attacking their Southern neighbors will end their sovereignty, because it will result in an invasion by the United States. In this way, they're less of a nuclear threat than Iran If anything occurs, it will be aimed at undermining American and South Korean military and political power; the shelling of the border island or the sinking of Pohang class corvette are recent examples of this. The North Koreans think they can get away with more because our military budget is being cut, that's all. They're testing the waters, seeing how much they can get away with in a region where American hegemony is on the decline. This isn't to say that we shouldn't beef up regional security, the N Koreans aren't the apex of international rationality, and their actions can be hard to predict. Obviously, we should stay on high alert in case anything happens. I've been copy pasting my posts left and right because I don't feel like retyping them XD

More likely threats to get aid and solidify Lil Kim as best Korea's great leader or stupid..not sure
-
I hope so.

We have F-22s, B2 Spirits, and B-52s over in South Korea right now. All of those alone could take out the entire North Korea military.
