Hawaii
LA
Austin
Chicago
NYC
DC
All primary targets for North Korean nukes. Like it or not, if you live in one of these areas, you have a non-0 chance of being nuked.
Do you have a contingency plan? Do you know where you would go, how you would get there, and enough supplies to make the trip?
You may lol at the idea, but Military Theorist just had a thread on how bad the current missile defense tech is, and N Korea were able to get the satellite up. Theoretically, it IS possible that one or more could get through.

Everybody loves Aussies :D So im safe.
-
Nope Unless they go left field and nuke England instead
-
I'm about 3 hours east of Austin. Kind of surprised that Austin made the list, why not Houston? No love for us?
-
Aren't these areas the ones with the worst pro-gun laws in the country?
-
I live about a mile and a half north of Chicago, so it could be problematic I guess.
-
Edited by perinski93: 4/4/2013 1:50:42 AMI think the east coast is pretty safe. i'm pretty sure NK doesnt have a carrying system that can reach us. Not only that but i think NK is blowing smoke out of their ass
-
Even if I lived in one of those said cities, I wouldn't be scared. The chance of North Korea having a successful rocket able to carry a nuclear warhead, let alone a warhead light enough to be carried by a rocket, are in my opinion, slim to none.
-
I live in VA about 95 miles away from DC. I think I'm safe enough. Even if I lived a block away from the White House I still wouldn't be worried. North Korea doesn't have nukes with the capability of reaching Western mainland USA, let alone the East Cost, so only Hawaii is kind of in danger. I doubt they'd attack only Hawaii though.
-
I live a couple hours north of Chicago so I should be safe.
-
We've held off the hordes of Indiana for centuries. I doubt we have anything to fear from Fatty McAsianface.
-
I live in San Antonio, about 1 hour away from Austin. So, pretty close. Also, RoosterTeeth is in Austin, so, if that gets nuked no more RT Animated Adventures, RT Shorts, RWBY, and Red vs Blue D:

Edited by RighteousTyrant: 4/3/2013 7:35:57 PMAustin. I've seen predictions of the yield and blast radius. I'm not worried, because I don't think NK can get a nuke here, period. But if I were to worry, I'd be more worried about accuracy than yield. If he's targeting downtown, I'm probably fine, except for radiation and fallout. But can he hit whatever he's targeting? Austin just makes so little sense as a target, except for its status as TX's capital. But if you want to hurt TX, I think you'd do better to hit an economic center with a larger population like Dallas or Houston, or a military center like San Antonio.
-
Not even close, I'm on the other side of the country.
-
Irvine, CA!!! about 30/40 miles from LA. Am I screwed?
-
If they even touch LA with their dirty commie missiles, I'm heading for the military.
-
It's not going to happen. I live in Chicago. The chance of them even shipping a nuke in a container here is highly unlikely. THINK ABOUT IT. "Hey NK just sent us this rather heavy container box. Let's not take the time to look in a container shipped from a country who is threatening to blow us up." -Said nobody ever NK can't even ship a gathering of flowers without us checking it out. Let alone a nuclear capable device.
-
I live in Colorado, basically in Denver. Here we have NORAD, there's also a heavy Air Force presence here. They've got some military bases in the Rocky Mountains. I'm pretty sure I'd be a target. But I think the world will end before North Korea can develop the technology to hit Colorado with a nuke. I'm not worried
-
No, Their technology can only get a nuke here. Maybe In theory In practice, their technology sucks. They have little experience it. And their missile technology has virtually no proven track record.
-
LA but no San Fran or Oakland? Oakland is a major port for California. San Francisco is a great soft target.
-
<------ In Teaxs. I'd be surprised if the missile even made it to Japan or any surrounding island. There's a zero percent chance that anything NK has can reach NYC, Austin, or Chicago. That's even providing for completely defenseless airspace over the US, which ain't gonna happen.
-
Are their missiles even that good?
-
Well I live in Modesto, CA which is 7 hours away from LA where I have friend and family
-
MISSISSAUGA ONTARIO, B!TCHES

State of denial?

Edited by Comet: 4/3/2013 10:24:34 PMno, but my best friend is.

Where I am? No, not worried about Westminster. I live near D.C. when I'm not at school, though, so maybe I would be at risk there (if N.Korea actually had a nuke that could hit us).
