Why is there no serious discussion here?
I'm not the only one what's noticed there's a lack of serious discussion on this forum. It seems to be a mess of attention seekers and trolling, which the occasional political thread that isn't obvious flame bait. I've honestly seen more competent communities on YouTube and Facebook. Just saying.

Serious discussion isn't really possible on this site, to be honest. Partially because the user base just isn't really up for it, and partially because the site just doesn't encourage it.

EDIT: Sorry, that was a bit harsh. I just want to say that even though we're just chaotic as they can be, we're all good of heart, even if many of us decide to spam (not many good trollers).

Today was extremely dumb because of the avatar change. Everyone posted about it, including me unfortunately. So it was a lot of contribution that was not welcome or needed in the forums.

4 RepliesDid...you miss all those Destiny topics, science topics, and various other media-related minutia topics? There have been plenty of recent topics that were "serious" and recent. What do you filter? I presume you drink from the firehose and select "latest". If so, that is the spammiest option. Change your filters or look up specific tags, and you should find something you like.
