So I've noticed a small connection between the Traveler and the Fallen after watching Bungie's GDC panel.
In these images, the Fallen are accompanied by a technological looking sphere, similar at least aesthetically to the Traveller.
Here we have a fallen holding a sphere...

Here we have a group of Fallen accompanied by a larger, floating sphere...

And here in the Fallen tile, we also have a larger, floating sphere...

But that isn't the only place we've seen similar spheres to the traveler...

Ain't he cute?
There's also an image of a "treasure room" they showed in the panel, with a broken down sphere in the foreground, but I can't seem to find a still of it.
So, could the Traveler have some link to the Fallen? I haven't seen any spheres associated with any of the other races, and I find it interesting one would be so prominent in the Fallen's tile with the other races. Perhaps they once held a grander position in the galaxy, and the Traveler once belonged to them, or they to it, hence their title?
Another idea is that the spheres are the most common form of AI vessels, but I would think the other races, at least the cabal, would utilize them as well.
So, what are your thoughts?

I think it more just coincidence because floating orbs are common in other sci-fi things.
