They have tons of military hardware, but they can't even afford to operate it, and even if they could it is all obsolete, so their planes would be shot out of the sky, and their tanks would do no better than Saddam's in the first Gulf War.

The only fault that could come of this is if America underestimates a foe that they do not fully understand. Maybe they can't actually attack and maybe they can, either way, a threat of war should not be taken lightly no matter where it comes from.
