Okay so I have an idea regarding ships!
What if in-game guilds/clans (if they exist) could have a group ship? A sort of mothership that, according to the whims of the captain/clan leader, could orbit around certain planets as a sort of secondary base and refueling station.
Floating in space is fairly easy on the graphics engine, so I assume the Xbox 360 version could support up to 16-20 players on board at once. What would be even cooler is if you could actually engage in space warfare as a team, one man piloting, and then many others at different stations. http://halo.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?cid=32237
In my mind it would be the coolest way to chill after kicking alien butt across the system, and would provide that warm fuzzy feeling of teamwork that the Elephants in Halo 3 did!
TLDR: Multi-person ships for ultimate team-playing.

Sounds like an amazing idea...but I doubt it. This is a world anyone can go anywhere. Where are all the mother ships going to go? Will they just set in space even if you log out? That's a lot of extra stuff just floating around that the system has to handle. Everyone and their mother will want to create a clan and have a mother ship of their own that's floating...somewhere in space that the game can never phase out like a player ship when they log off. Amazing idea, I just don't see how it would work. SWTOR toyed around with the idea, but it never came to light there either.
