Good places to volunteer?
I've been wanting to volunteer for sometime, but I have no clue where to go/call. I would rather do something to actually help people as opposed to picking up trash or whatnot. I also would like a more physical "job". I know some places have volunteers that help build cheap housing and whatnot, but I'm not sure if there's one in my area.
Any suggestions?

There's this computer place in Portland Oregon that you can volunteer for and they give you free stuff.

Habitat for humanity if you like to work with your hands. The local soup kitchen,the public library. Also a lot more. Get involved with a volunteer group.

4 RepliesDo you have any local soup kitchens or youth centers? I'm sure they'd take some volunteers. And if you're still in high school you could always ask your guidance counselor.
