All you've gotta do is unscrew that little hinge, and BOOM: You've got two small knives.
I know that knives are easier to harm with, but scissors can pretty much be used for the exact same thing. I'm not suggesting a ban on scissors or anything, but... why?

IMMA GON' CUT SOMEONE!! Probably because it's used for other stuff like crafts and such. Honestly though...
-
Speaking of scissors, a kid at one of my local high school got stabbed in the shoulder by another guy with some dull scissors.

Why is there a tick next to this thread?
-
In 9th grade I stabbed someone in the neck with scissors.
-
I've actually cut myself with scissors, not a little scratch, a -blam!-ing gash. But on the other hand, I've tried shaving with them - they don't do a damn thing.
-
Have you tried to stab someone with scissors? It's much harder.
-
Scissors, particularly in schools tend to be much less sharp than knives. I've tried cutting myself with scissors, failed and had to resort to my nails.
-
How do I cut paper then?
-
you have to draw a line somewhere. plus, there are plenty of knives in schools, exact-o knives and similar things. The issue isn't with students using them, its about a lone student carrying one on their person.
