Finally a date where we can finally silence the nationalists
-
I don't know why the UK government is allowing this to happen. Constituent states don't have the right to secede, nor should they.
-
ill be just old enough to vote :) Definitely no. No benefits, a lot of disadvantages. Also the pro independence argument consists mainly of separating from the Torie government who won't even be in power for ever.
-
The only reason this is happening is because some nationalist idiots want to have an independent Scottish identity/culture without even thinking about the numerous negative consequences that will come about in the future. Good luck creating an independent economy of the same prominence as the one they are currently a part of! What valuable goods will you be exporting then? Cheese? Kilts? The only positive I can see from this is that less of the Govt's money goes on paying for the scroungers in Glasgow. We'd (The rest of the UK) be much better off without them, as long as they don't join the EU and drag everyone else down with them. They are very ungrateful and should be thankful they weren't kicked out the union sooner.
-
I just hope that scotland makes the right decision. I mean what will they gain from gaining independence? They already make their own laws, have their own parliament- yet still get the benefits of being with the UK.
-
I don't see any legitimate benefits in becoming independent. I mean sure we have oil, but most of those who are for this just want Scotland to become independent for the sake of becoming independent. Here in Scotland we're a fairly nationalist society, and have taken a very much xenophobic anti English attitude. It's surprising that a slight majority don't want independence.
-
If I were Scottish, I'd vote for independence. God, I'd hate to still be part of that United Kingdom.
-
I give homage to Scotland!
-
I won't be in the country to vote. I'm still unsure what I'd vote, 'yes' would be a gamble but it could pay off.
-
I wish them well. I am for any group of people that want self determination.
-
I can't possibly see what they'd gain from this, they're practically their own country minus the benefits of British economy. We'll have Wales demanding freedom next I swear it!
-
I haven't been keeping up, nor am I familiar with European politics. What would this mean for Scotland if they were to be independent?
-
Congratulations.
