Her and Paul leave the apartment, hailing a cab to pick them up. To Paul's surprise, his "decorator" arrives in the cab, kissing him as she gets out. As Holly is in a rush, she gets in the cab and heads to Sing Sing.

After asking Paul to look for her black alligator shoes, Holly quickly gets ready amidst the clothes strewn about her room, explaining in the process how she visits a former gang leader caught on a tax violation.

After Paul makes a comment about it being Thursday, Holly quickly realizes that she needs to get dressed for a visit to Sing Sing, a prison.

After letting Paul in, he asks to use her phone. She lets him use it, having to pull it out of a suitcase on the ground which she used to muffle the sound. She proceeds to talk about how anxious she gets at times.

A man named Paul Varjak has moved into the apartment upstairs. He had to buzz her door so she would let him in as he had the wrong key to enter the building.
