This is a win for the freedom of the USA. This ban would only hurt those who follow the law.

True so true

Thank goodness, there was no real argument against AW's. "Muh Sandy Hook!" was the only one they could bring up. Dancing on the graves of dead children to further your agenda will only get you so much sympathy....
-
Sen. Feinstein will bring this up as an amendment. You can count on it.

I'm glad that they took it off the table. It's a feel good move that only addresses a very small part of gun violence in the USA. It's politically toxic anyway. If certain legislators want to vote on a AWB, they should craft a separate bill rather than torpedoing the entire thing. And on top of all that, I think it's hilarious that all the wingnuts ran out and spent thousands of dollars on these guns thinking that they were going to be banned, lol.
-
It's political only. Trust me, the Dems want this ban so bad they can taste it. They are looking towards 2014. If they regain control of the house and maintain the senate, this will come back with a vengeance. - Der
This ban would only hurt those who follow the law.
Wait, since when does anyone who has at least considered attempting harming another individual with a firearm have convenient, automatic access and connections with the black market?
-
"Yes now I can get an AR 15 the legal way and not thru the black market!" - said no criminal ever
-
Good. I enjoy my freedom to massacre children in schools.
-
Good.
-
why don't they actually work towards something that will gain money like legalize pot
-
Good.

I guess, I mean I didn't think it would actually have any effect in the first place. Maybe I'm still getting this mixed up with a bill that would ban civilians from owning automatic military grade weapons, which I think is already illegal anyway.
