Vanderbilt student Michael Pollack had a dream of playing "New York State of Mind" with his hero Billy Joel, so when he got the opportunity during a Q and A session with the star, he just asked. Joel stood there for a second, and then just said, "Okay." The rest is history.
Thought this was worth sharing. It's not often that people, especially musicians, get a chance to live their dream and nail it like this guy did.
Note: It's kinda hard to hear, but at the beginning when Joel says, "What key do you play it in?" the kid responds, "What key do you want it in?". What a beast.
