Hah, Halo 3's "Believe". That always confused me a bit. Anyways, I can't wait to watch all these trailers.
-
Halo 2 E3 demo trailer. That was the most misleading thing ever.
-
How has no one said anything about the Halo 2 E3 demo?

Edited by OmegaCircuit: 3/16/2013 11:25:24 PMMass Effect 3. This trailer is a complete fabrication, and a great example (not the only one, either).

I wouldn't put it in the top ten, but I can see why some people could say ME3. "Take Back the Earth"... with your three man squad. That big battle where Shepard, his squad, and an army of marines are fighting husks and brutes... never happens. When Shepard hits the ground it is basically him and his two buddies operating by themselves with assistance generally limited to communication. Some of the trailers are better than others at making clear what is actually in the game though. Like the actual launch trailer is all stuff in the game.

Entire Mass Effect 3 marketing campaign No, not just the endings for the people who were about to say "GET OVER IT"
-
Mass Effect 3? Mass Effect 3.
-
You forgot Aliens: Colonial Marines
-
None of those really misled me as I wasn't looiking forward to them anyway. BUT STAR WARS TFU2, HOWEVER..
-
I have only played a couple games off that list. So all I can say is that these games must have really sucked compared to what they originally advertised because Reach is not at the top of the list.

Edited by DEZARATH: 3/16/2013 6:20:48 PMDoes it have to be a Video Game Trailer, because Godzilla 1998. Greatest trailer ever, craptacular final product.

Every Halo Reach trailer that implied Bungie would actually care about the game post launch. Sure, they were leaving Halo after Reach, but they could have at least fixed their broken game with significant updates before 343 took over.

The best trailer I've seen in a long time was the Halo 3 Starry Night one. It did in 30 seconds what none of the other Halo trailers could do for me with over 3 times that length.

Edited by Taux: 3/16/2013 5:58:20 PMWarZ. That's all i really need to say. The trailer featuring ALPHA gameplay has significantly more features than the game does to date. They essentially advertised a well build mansion but gave us a cardboard box, that is how radically different the trailer was, i'm not even joking. (Not to mention, the halo 3 Belive teaser was a teaser, not a trailer of the actual game. This is the actual halo 3 trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z36WDj2PcU )
