After all this time, I still find it slightly annoying when a friend "wants to play" something.
Opinions?
-
I do.
-
Someone on my list has had a beacon set up for MONTHS on Netflix. Highly annoying. I've tried it a few times when trying to find a teammate. Didn't work.
-
Idiots always keep them on. They ruined setting your profile offline.
-
I liked the idea of them when I first heard about them, but now I just find them pointless and annoying.
-
I like it, long as people remember to add and delete them and act upon them. I mean, I've had a Dead Space 3 beacon set up for weeks and I still don't have a co-op partner. ARG. >.>

Edited by Hoss: 3/13/2013 12:04:22 PMI don't use beacons, because they are useless.
-
no i hate them.
-
I don't see why it needed to be added.
-
Useless.
-
Nah, they don't do anything for me.
-
I find it annoying when a friend has a beacon activated for a game I am willing to play with them and then it turns out they don't want to play that game. Otherwise I find it a bit useful.
-
They're useless and annoying. What is funny though is several of my dumber friends have set beacons for single-player games. Person X wants to play Skyrim with you. Lolwut?
-
Good idea, turn out really annoying.
-
No. 90% of the time the person who 'Wants to play _____' is not even playing that game.
-
They are fairly stupid. The few times i see them in use the guy isnt even playing the game in question. And if I really want to play with someone we will usually just communicate and get it setup.
-
Edited by Mr Coco: 3/13/2013 1:29:56 AMNope. They're the most unnecessary and annoying feature on Xbox LIVE. If a friend wants to play something with me, he/she will communicate with me, rather than spam my notifications every time I get online for the rest of time over a game that he/she may have sold ages ago.
-
Edited by Lord Ruler: 3/13/2013 1:12:58 AMNo I think they're pretty stupid.
-
I never even found out what they do. No one I know uses them either. So I don't think they are that useful.
-
I never saw the point in them.
-
I never pay attention to them. It was a good concept that failed to really take hold or be effective.
-
No. For reasons that it just gets in the way, and that no one really wants to play the game either.
