Adamantium. Arguably the toughest metal in the Marvel universe. It has shrugged off Hulk punches and bludgeons from Thor's hammer. The question I pose however is, would Superman be able to break/dent it? He can after all, do this. (Not even his greatest strength feat)
I'd imagine it would be like one of those unstoppable forces meets and immovable object kind of thing.
EDIT: No sundips and no punches that involve flight or speed. Just a regular ass standing on the ground punch.
EDIT 2: Changed from Vibranium to Adamantium because Adamantium evidently seems more durable.

He definitely would be able to. In Superman: For Tomorrow, he fights Eqqus, a creature very similar to wolverine, and kicks ass
-
Adamantium breaks you.

Edited by DELIVER ME MEMES: 3/12/2013 9:13:24 PMbetter question...how did he have a son? the super money shot would likely hit Lois Lane with the force of a gunshot, killing her instantly, if not requiring immediate hospitalization. the average human male is around 20-25MPH in "money" speed. now multiply that times super man who can go on a transglobal run in seconds and you have huge velocities. if he's the strongest thing in the DC version of this solar system, it would be like he was internally stabbing her with a razor sharp knife-boner over and over again since he would literally be "harder than diamonds".
-
Probably, but it would take a minute.
-
Considering that the comic book industry has basically made him out as God with a weakness to plot devices? -blam!-, the image you linked is basically proving that the writers are engaged in a giant -blam!-ed up game of one up manship. To answer your original question: Yes. Should is another question. And should he? No. Dent a couple inches of steel? Yes.
-
Superman > all other super heroes. So yes he would snap Wolverine in half.
-
1. Superman melts the Adamantium using the lasers from his eyes. 2. Superman pulls it apart while it is in its liquid state 3. Superman turns it back into its solid state using his breath. There, he broke it, kinda.

Everything has a maximum amount of force it can withstand. Superman could likely break it.
-
Superman is the mary sue of DC so Im pretty sure he can, however even his godlike powers cannot defeat the goddamn Batman.
-
Is captain america holding the shield, if so, it wouldn't dent because CA would take most of the force and go flying,
-
The Serpent could. I'd imagine Superman could too, provided he had enough solar radiation in him.
-
There are a few factors. Like how much solar energy does he have inside him? Is he moving at all when he goes to punch it?
