Gamers have reported long queues to play, bugs and other glitches since SimCity launched on 5 March.
The company said the way it had set up the launch had been "dumb" and that it "really feels bad" about the way gamers had suffered.
As compensation, all those who bought SimCity will be offered a free Electronics Arts PC game this month.
Well, I never thought I would see the day. I wonder how many people would pick Crysis 3, I also wonder if I got the game for my Birthday (Next week) which might allow me to get a free game.
Here's hoping.
Are stuck with SimCity? What EA title would you pick?
-
If they were to give away a free game for all the times they wronged us then they would have to open up more studios to compensate us.
-
Which EA game are they making free? And when do we get the offer? I haven't recieved an email from Origin about it yet.
-
I doubt they will give us free choice of any game. It will probably be up to maybe $20-30.
-
EA are wankers.
-
It's probably gonna be a Sims 2 DLC pack or something.
-
They only feel bad cause they everyone got mad, they don't care about the customer.
-
A free game of any price? Also, how would I redeem this deal?

Edited by Not The Joker: 3/11/2013 4:39:08 PMAny time EA shows compassion has to be a trap.
-
Edited by ABotelho: 3/11/2013 2:49:34 PMHave they even stated which game it'll be? They might try and force MoH unto to people, because of it's poor sales. Could be an opportunity to try and get it out there.
-
At least they're doing something.
-
Might as well buy Sim City tomorrow then.
