Apparently, Harlow and I are so universally beloved that, proving the old maxim that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, a few of Bungie.net's least creative trolls have decided to impersonate us, making threads they think they can fool people into believing we made.
Well, I'd just like to say, thank you for all the attention! Unfortunately, I don't do autographs and neither does Harlow, but don't despair - we do follow back on Twitter! (Mostly. Sometimes. Rarely. Okay, really rarely. Whatever!) Seriously, though, troll impersonator accounts are lame and silly, and while I know most of you haven't been fooled by them, here are a few ways you can be absolutely sure that a thread is actually by one of us, and not by some troll crying over photos of us he printed from YouTube stills.
How to Tell if Someone is Actually Jay or Harlow: a Quick Guide
1. Join dates, duh! I joined on October 2nd, 2010. The account Harlow uses now also has a 2010 join date (it's not his oldest account, but it's the one you would recognise as his main). If the account was made a week ago, it's probably not us!
2. Neither of us post threads solely on the mains - if you see a thread from us, it's a public thread originally posted in Sapphire (like this one). As everyone knows, our lives revolve around our small internet group that we take ultra-seriously - why would we make threads outside it?
3. I graduated first in my school in English. Harlow's English is comparably good. If the grammar ain't right, it probably ain't us.
4. We have a million better things to do with our time than make pointless troll threads about castrating men or Bin Laden conspiracy theories. I mean, painstakingly hunting down alt accounts and talking to each other about how amazing Sapphire is takes up a lot of our time! The threads we post publically are few and far between. If you're seeing ten threads in a day made by "Harlow", there is a 99% chance that none of those are his, because he's busy ordering tons of merch from the Sapphire store or whatever it is we crazy Sapphire people do.
5. Troll accounts don't have followers. We do. (Thanks, CTN!)
That's pretty much it! Of course, if you want an environment where fake troll accounts can't make stupid, space-wasting threads, you are more than welcome to check out Sapphire. We welcome anyone who wants a community that's inclusive, troll-free and hosts plenty of high-quality discussions. But if you prefer to stay on the mains (and hey, no judgement, I'm not the boss of you!), just remember - if a thread seems too good to be true because it makes us sound like illiterate fourth graders, it probably is.

I cannot be fooled. I recognize your avatar instantly, and it is an emblem so it can't be imitated. And I have a custom avatar script and among the many users I gave custom avatars for the sake of identification, I gave Harlow an avatar that was a screenshot of his RDJR coup.
