Linda is a Spartan 2 and Jun is a Spartan 3. The Spartan 3's are the mass produced Spartans that are made for mass suicide missions. Which means they are expendable and less quality. The Spartan 2's on the other hand are not and they have better augmentations. To put them in a real life prospective. Think of the Spartan 2's as King Tiger tanks and the Spartan 3's as M4 Sherman's. The KT has better armor and a far more powerful cannon. The M4 Sherman on the other hand has weaker armor and a weaker cannon. So if you put those 2 in a fight against each other the KT is going to win.
