There's a lot of speculation or "conformation" that the Playstation 4 will not be backwards compatible. If this is the case, what would you do? Would you forget upgrading to ps4 for awhile, trade in your ps3 and all the games towards the ps4 for a new beginning, or trade in your ps3 towards the ps4 but keep all your games to continue collecting? Personally id go with the final option.

Ill trade in my xbox out with the old in with the new. Traded my old xbox for the slim and will continue to do so the longer you wait the less its valued and they always offer bonuses around launch time so bonus for me

It is not backwards compatible, Sony is planning/hoping to let people stream Ps3 games via Gaikai I'm going to keep my ps3 regardless since the ps4 won't be BC. I have plenty of games I still want to play on it along with my psn titles.
