Destiny Add-On Marketplace - Changing Console Gaming

TL;DR in the quote box. So I've gotten another idea for Destiny, and I think it could be one of those things that makes Destiny a pretty big deal. So anyone who's played World of Warcraft knows about the Curse Client, a medium through which one can download a plethora of addons to WoW that change the UI in some way to make it better fitted to the users' respective needs and wants. These add-ons range from things like Bartender, which allows you to move around all your different action buttons to places where they suit you better, to Recount which shows a tally of just about anything from Damage per Second to Total Damage to Total Healing Done for yourself and your party.
I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if there was something like this for Destiny? Bungie could have a page on their site through which you could submit add-ons, either to your own private library of add-ons, or to a public (free) marketplace. The marketplace could be accessed through a downloadable app either through PSN or the XBLM, and then administered to your game via a game update, (like any other TU you might have), that is local to your console.
Things like Damage Meters, additional graphics when you kill someone, minimaps that look different from whatever one they give you. Simply an add-on that lets you configure your controller to perform action macros (using a certain button with a sniper would allow you to quick scope, or scope and crouch, or jump and fire, or something like that) would be amazing. Imagine the level of user customization this would provide. Not only would we be allowed to use the vast amount of customization I'm assuming Bungie is providing us in the game, but we'd be essentially be able to have the equivalence of user scripts in the game, allowing for a literally infinite amount of customization. What do you think of this idea, BNetters? e: I am fully aware that this may not be technically possible. I am not a man of science; do not get sciencey and technical with me. e2: Based on the fact that apparently Microsoft and Sony don't allow software downloads that aren't pre-approved by them. So the idea would have to be more like skins and designs people make for a list of basic add-ons already in the code of the game that you could upload to a web app, in which you could manage which add-ons and skins you want. So maybe that would bypass the software download thing? Again, not a man of science. e3: Idea from SPARTAN1777
However, operating it like a title update wouldn't work, I highly doubt XBL would support it. However, if they operated it like the Halo fileshare, all handled in game, that might work. It could still link in to Bnet as well, just as the fileshare did.
well the way it would work if they implement it is that they would need to submitted to Bungie for approval, then made available for free or as add-ons in marketplace/ps3 store/ps4 store etc. it has merits but i think a lot of those custom user-made uis have bugs and crash after patch updates, so i'm more in favor of Bungie making those add-ons available for free or purchase, maybe even ingame purchases of ui upgrades like HUDs, radar, sonar, thermal, etc etc.
