Help me gain notoriety for a game publisher to take notice.

A reviewer that writes for The Houston Chronicle has given me some advice on how to gain review copies of games for review.
I asked him: "Hey skillz. My review following is decently small but loyal, but I am interested in seeing if company's will send me review copies. To submit a request, do I go to their main site to find an email to write to?"
He replied with: "They contacted me and asked if I wanted to review games. Usually, just e-mail the media email address but be warned - if you don't have measurable analytics, you'll be ignored."
By analytics, he means to audience that I have a reach to. The larger the following, the better my chances. I can apply to get these review copies by contacting their respective emails and submit my case, however, I need the evidence to back up my claims and make them take notice.
I want to give honest and enjoyable reviews to you guys. The consumers deserved to be warned of any problems or scams, and they deserve to be aware of games that are worthy of their time.
