which bird would you say is a better large breed bird for a pet?
breeder vs. rescue: what's a better thing? is there a quality difference in personality/protectiveness?
looking into what breed i should research before getting one and saving money because breeder=expensive.

Charlie I say you get a Budgie (if that's how you spell it LOL) but ye my friend used to have one. They are very loyal and fun too!...Well A parrot is meh another one of my friends had them......but they get really good if you make them loyal to you! Don't keep them captive otherwise they will hate you and might even fly away (My other friends one Haha!)

Edited by brandorobot: 2/28/2013 5:22:47 PMAlthough this is a parody thread. My parents have a green wing macaw like this and he's pretty cool. They live forever though, and he's only a few years old. So it's likely he'll out live them.

Edited by halo: 2/28/2013 5:24:19 PMI would go with the Parrot or the Macaw. Very smart birds and very beautiful. I personally don't like the noise or smell birds come with since I used to own a parakeet but I don't know how that would compare. Parakeets are very loud. Bred birds may come with medical issues or diseases, but so may rescued birds. If you go with a bred bird just make sure it's healthy. I assume this because same goes for puppies. Just realized this was a parody thread. Seriously Charlie? I'm having a hard time seeing the point.
