I've always wondered why no one has taken matters into their own hands and took one of their heads off yet. Given that most handguns can be concealed, doing the job could be done easily, and possibly the assailant could get away.
So, why hasn't anyone tried yet?

I think that they have a protesting date at my school in a few years. It's a Jesuit High school, all male. They're going to throw a bunch of homo banners or something at us. Anyway, the administration took matters in their own hands by personally ordering each and every one of the 1600 students to come to the counter protest. It shall be AWESOME!

ayy lmao I forgot you used to post here KEK
-
They're using their 1st amendment. Why should they die for voicing their opinions.
-
It's being a bit hypocritical, I guess. Not that I don't want them to suffer.
-
If for absolutely no other reason than (and I'm in the field of thought that there are many other reasons besides this one) it sets a terrible precedent. Tolerating the murders of people for their beliefs, no matter how close those beliefs may line up with the general idea of being "objectively" wrong, is a dangerous game to play.
-
Yeah, we should totally kill everybody who calls people mean names.
-
Here you go Charlie. They do get attacked sometimes,it's actually hilarious tbh.
-
Best to not give them any attention.

Edited by Comrade Napoleon: 2/28/2013 9:44:46 PMBut somebody did try to bomb them back in 1995. That page of the site is down, but basically someone "set off a bomb" in the driveway of a Phelps daughter, but nobody was hurt.

Edited by Payola: 3/1/2013 12:39:00 AMBecause murder is bad, mmkay.

I'd normally say that it's because those idiots aren't worth losing your life over, but most people don't think that way so I'm equally as surprised as you are (and a little impressed at the restraint).
-
Somebody refresh my memory, what exactly have they done again?
-
Why should they? Ignoring them would be far more effective. They love the attention and are free to do what they want.
-
Isn't suing people like 75% of their income?
-
most people simply aren't willing to throw their lives away by murdering someone, even if they deserve it. That said, I think it's only a matter of time.
-
Would make them martyrs somehow, but I'm not sure what person would feel that way
-
To this day I still wonder why. You know, what if you abducted them instead and just dumped them off in the mountains or something? Maybe ship em off to the Alaskan wilderness. Some peace and quiet would do them some good.
-
They do occasionally get attacked. Then they sue and win the lawsuit and have more money to be idiots with.
-
He who fights monsters must be wary of not becoming a monster themselves
-
Because that would finally give them an excuse to exercise violence themselves. I wouldn't be a good one, but it's one that they'd still probably use.
-
WBC = westboro baptist church? Also, I dont think any one takes them serious enough to kill them. They are nuts
-
They're exercising those god-awful 'rights' people seem to be so fond of.
-
I would like to hope that we still have a shed of humanity here in the united states. Assassinating a WBC member would make us about as low as them. Yes they are hateful and I despise them but they are exercising their rights (you could say abusing their right, even) and they technically haven't done anything beyond legal boundaries. It says a lot about our citizens here that people can do these sort of things and not get killed or beaten over it. If I ever have views that are against the norm I would hope that nobody would kill me. I hate the WBC but I would never kill them, and I would hope that most people would understand why killing them would be wrong.
-
People realize the WBC aren't worth killing. I'm guessing the families of victim's are mature enough to know murder won't bring their loved ones back.
-
1) They want to be attacked ( or have their rights otherwise violated ) so that their Family's private law practice can sue. 2) Its not worth throwing your life away
