Anime Introductory Suggestions
I have recently made the decision that I would like to get into anime. Any suggestions? No huge lists though, as I honestly don't have the time to watch everything right now.
Long fanboy/fangirl obsession rants ARE permitted.

Watch Full Metal Alchemist and then Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Also, you really need to watch Cowboy Bebop and Angel Beats.

I would suggest the following: Cowboy Bebop Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Rurouni Kenshin If you want something on the ridiculous side, try FLCL. If you want something with a deep and twisting plot, I would suggest Durarara.

Full Metal Alchemist is a must for any introductory list, pretty much perfect. After that I can't say, all I know is FMA is where to start. Brotherhood, of course, since it follows the manga and the book is almost always better.

3 RepliesFull Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood (or even the original anime that decided to go in a completely different direction than the manga) is probably the best gateway anime. Just stay away from crap like Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece.

And to anyone who moans about the ratings I've given, I rate based purely off of enjoyment. I take no consideration of character development and such other things like that.
